Experience the Benefits of Vista
Windows Vista introduces a breakthrough user experience that is designed to help you feel confident in your ability to view, find, and organize information. The Vista experience is more informative, intuitive, and helpful. New tools bring better clarity to the information on your computer; you can see what your files contain without opening them, find applications and files instantly, navigate efficiently among open windows, and use wizards and dialog boxes with ease.
Invaluable new features like Direct Search, Meeting Place, Sidebars, Gadgets, Internet Explorer 7, and quick Windows Flip 3D application scrolling are just the beginning. Take a look at some of these other exciting features
Direct X 10
Vista enhances your gaming experience by including the all-new lighting and shading windows gaming optimization tool, Direct X 10. Direct X 10 supercharges your games’ lighting and shading effects, providing you with astonishingly realistic visuals and enhanced gameplay. Experience Direct X 10 standard with Vista, and try to keep your eyes from popping out of your head.
Multitasking like Never Before
All Alienware systems are Vista ready and are equipped with the latest dual core processors from Intel and AMD. Vista unlocks the potential of your system’s dual core processor, turning it into a buzz saw of multitasking power that slices through any application you throw at it. With Windows Vista, feel free to push your system to the max; it won’t even break a sweat.
Get in Sync
Windows Vista is not just a new operating system; it’s a new way of life. With Vista, keeping all of your personal devices and information in sync has never been easier. Files like contact info, emails, music and photos are transferred via your work notebook, PDA, or mobile phone directly to your desktop without having to open, keep track of, and move to a place where you might later forget. With Vista, losing your digital memories and having to copy and paste to multiple locations just became a thing of the past.
Windows Aero
Vista is the first Windows operating system that has a user experience that can gracefully scale to the hardware capabilities of the computer it is installed on. With the Vista Aero setting, Alienware users can experience spectacular visual effects such as glass-like interface elements that you can see through and overall high definition visuals. Aero is an environment with an additional level of visual sophistication, one that is even more responsive and manageable, providing a further level of clarity and confidence to Vista users.
Meeting Place
Vista Meeting Place allows you to instantly network with another Windows Vista user through a wireless or wired connection. Meeting Place lets you share, view, copy, and paste files to a “meeting place” between users for a quick and secure file transfer experience.
