Gaming Performance
Gamers have traditionally been reluctant to embrace the size, style, convenience and weight advantages LCD displays. This was due to the slower pixel response times (over 30ms) offered by even some high-end LCD displays. The slower response time found in most LCD’s creates an adverse effect known as “ghosting.” As seen in the image, this “ghosting” can ruin the overall gaming experience for a user by making crisp shapes blurry and action sequences sloppy and sluggish-looking. Until recently, gamers had no viable option to a bulky CRT monitor that dominated their desk space and required Herculean effort to transport to LAN parties.
Fortunately, newer TFT technology delivered panels with significantly faster response rates and improved contrast ratios to challenge even some professional level CRT products.
